Strengths Finder 2.0 Results
Bellow are the results of my Strengths Finder 2.0 test results. I have broken it up into two categories; the description of my five best strengths that the report gives, and my interpretation of what the report says. The strengths finder test is a test that measures 34 talent areas and gives the recipient a report of their five strongest strengths, according to the test.
Test interpretation:
- Individualization: People who are especially talented in the Individualization theme are intrigued with the unique qualities of each person. They have a gift for figuring out how people who are different can work together productively.
- Input: People who are especially talented in the Input theme have a craving to know more. Often they like to collect and archive all kinds of information.
- Strategic: People who are especially talented in the Strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues.
- Learner: People who are especially talented in the Learner theme have a great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. In particular, the process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites them.
- Responsibility: People who are especially talented in the Responsibility theme take psychological ownership of what they say they will do. They are committed to stable values such as honesty and loyalty.
My personal interpretation:
- Individualization: Essentially, this theme is characterized by a unique way of thinking. Those with a strong individualization aspect value new ideas and ways of doing things, no matter what people think of them or the ideas. Individual themed people are not afraid to ask questions or say tough things to others or even criticize others. A positive boon for individual themed people is that their uniqueness allows them to gather information from many different areas, effectively making them empathetic towards many diverse and unusual people and ideas. These individuals have a knack for making many very different people cooperate by helping them to understand how their differences benefit each other.
- Input: Those with a strong Input theme are generally characterized by a very strong and vibrant vocabulary. These individual's desire for new knowledge and words to describe groupings of knowledge make them versed in many different ideas and concepts. The main boon of this theme is that people with this aspect tend to think things through to an extent; preferring to analyze a situation before acting, they tend to save time, minimize errors and conserve resources.
- Strategic: People with a strong Strategic theme are characterized by foresight and pattern recognition. Strategic based individuals often see patterns and solutions before others. These people generally tend to act alone, perhaps trusting their own talent, knowledge and skill in solving issues over others. These people often spend time alone, considering several courses of action before acting upon a chosen strategy.
- Learner: Learner-types tend to value all knowledge and information, no matter the format or type it comes to them in. Learners tend to work alone, preferring to direct their energies towards tasks or problems that interest them, and as a result often don't let outside influences interrupt them when they focus on an interesting topic or subject. Learners also tend to focus on problems, malfunctions or glitches, wishing to know the who, what, where, when, why and how of a situation that occurred. Many learners become frustrated if they cannot figure out why something happened the way it did.
- Responsibility: People with a strong Responsibility aspect tend to value honesty and promises. These types are driven by the desire to fulfill their promises and keep their word. They do not accept dishonesty, even for small situations and can be viewed as cold, heartless or uncaring in many instances. These people often set expectations for themselves when no one else does, and because of these inner promises, often excel by remembering these promises or the obligations they accepted.
Overall observation:
- My general opinion of my strengths finder report is that it is favorable. I am a highly individualized person that is very well suited to a managerial position. The reasons for this are that I value knowledge and responsibility and am a good planner due to the strategic themes in my personality. I would work well as a manger because I can also relate to many different people because I am highly individualistic and accept and am open to many different ideas and people.
