Sigi 3 Results
Sigi 3 is a comprehensive computer based program that helps users to make a career choice or choose a specific career path based on personal and occupational characteristics. Sigi 3 helps users to obtain the job of their choice by using a systematic decision-making process. Sigi divides into four main areas to help users to better self identify themselves in their search.
Sigi 3's four main areas that it focuses on are: values, interests, personality and it's own skills survey program. Results for myself are as follows:
- My strongest values are independence, leadership and variety. I also show interest in high income and job security.
- My most valued interests are the arts and humanities, business, education and social and behavioral sciences.
- My personality traits that ranked highest were investigative, social and enterprising.
- In the skills survey, there are six areas of interest. Within these six areas are some good descriptive words or phrases of your best skill types:
- - Working with people: persuading, negotiating, selling
- - Working with hands or equipment: operating machines or equipment
- - Communicating: following written instructions, following oral instructions
- - Organizing Information: gathering information, conducting research
- - Working with Math: developing budgets
- - Special Activities: attention to detail
My interpretation of the Sigi 3 results:
- After completing Sigi 3, I felt somewhat confused. The results were somewhat construed, compared to the many other personality tests I had accomplished. There seemed to be slightly less of a focus on managerial-related duties, and a trend more towards social and behavioral sciences, which would imply more of a feeling aspect in the Myers-Briggs Type Q test. However, when taking the general or oftentimes referred to as the "free" Myers-Briggs test online, I often fluctuate between ENTJ and ENFJ (more of a feeling and sensitive type), which might explain the reason for this fluctuation in Sigi and between the other tests. As far as I am concerned, the results of this test still point me in the direction of a manager of some sort. However, I believe that I have fairly well mastered the idea that I mentioned earlier, where I incorporate more feeling and sensitivity into my personality to help balance myself and therefore make myself more successful.
